Benevolence Fund

The purpose of the Benevolence Fund is to provide financial aid for the necessities of life to an individual when needed. Legacy Chapel church members and those in close relationship to our church family are eligible to apply.

The Benevolence Fund is based upon scripture that says:

Acts 4:32-35: “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.”

Galatians 6:2: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

James 2:14-16: “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and bulled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?”
